Regular Season Round 10: Halle - Marburg 75-66

Marburg (#4) was upset in Halle by seventh ranked Halle 75-66. American-Austrian power forward Alexia Allesch (185-1998, college: Seton Hall) notched a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds to lead the effort and Liz Smith supported her with 11 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Even 18 points and 9 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) by American center Allyson Fertig (193, college: Wyoming) did not help to save the game for Marburg. Slovenian Lea Debeljak (176-2001, agency: LBM Management) added 16 points for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Halle have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain seventh position with 4-6 record. Marburg at the other side dropped to the fifth place with five games lost. Halle will play against league's second-placed Saarlouis on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Marburg will play against the league's leader Keltern having rather not much hope for a victory.
