Very important is a road loss of second rankedBasCats (9-4) against seventh ranked Wasserburg (7-6) on Saturday night. Visiting BasCats were defeated by Wasserburg in Wasserburg 74-60 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of BasCats. Wasserburg outrebounded Heidelberg 45-29 including 34 on the defensive glass. Australian Neseya Williams (190-2001) notched a double-double by scoring 28 points and 16 rebounds to lead the effort and American center Hayley Smith (186-2002, college: Ashland) supported her with 16 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists. Four Wasserburg players scored in double figures. Even 12 points and 8 rebounds by American guard Kelly Moten (173-1993, college: Emporia St.) did not help to save the game for Heidelberg . Her fellow American import forward Charisse Fairley (180-1999, college: CSU-Pueblo) added 10 points and 5 rebounds for the guests. BasCats' coach tested ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Wasserburg moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Stuttgart MTV. Heidelberg at the other side keeps the second position with four games lost. They share it with 3 other teams.
