No shocking result in a game when second rankedRheinland (16-1) beat 4th placed ChemCats (11-6) in Chemnitz 68-53 on Saturday. Leverkusen forced 22 Chemnitz turnovers. American guard Natalie Villaflor (178-1999, college: Mt.St.Mary's) nailed 19 points for the winning side and her fellow American import forward Tessa Brugler (185-1999, college: Drexel) accounted for 13 points and 6 rebounds. Four Rheinland players scored in double figures. Swingman Lilly Kuppers (183-2004) came up with 27 points and 9 rebounds and American forward Erin Stroberg (185-2000, college: Regis Univ.) added 10 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Chemnitz in the defeat. Rheinland have an impressive series of ten victories in a row. Leverkusen maintains second place with 16-1 record behind leader Bad Homburg. Loser ChemCats dropped to the fifth position with six games lost.
