A very close game took place in Noerdlingen betweenHerner and Angels . Ninth ranked Herner (5-13) got a very close victory on the road over 8th ranked Angels (5-13). Herner managed to escape with a 2-point win 79-77 in the game for the eighth place. Italian guard Alice Recanati (175, college: EKU) notched 25 points to lead the effort and the former international point guard Jennifer Crowder (167-1996) supported her with 19 points. Recanati is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Herner's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Even 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) by American forward Natalie Kucowski (190-1998, college: Lafayette, agency: LBM Management) did not help to save the game for Noerdlingen . Canadian forward Nicole Fransson (188-2000) added 16 points. Four Noerdlingen players scored in double figures. Herner moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Noerdlingen. Noerdlingen lost fifth consecutive game.
