There was a surprise result when sixteenth rankedRasta Vechta (7-13) defeated at home higher ranked ratiopharm Ulm (11-9) 85-73 on Saturday. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Tevin Brown (195-1998, college: Murray St.) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import guard Alonzo Verge Jr (190-1998, college: Nebraska, agency: Octagon Europe) who added 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Ghanian-American Christopher Ledlum (198-2001, college: St.John's) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds and American guard Mark Smith (193-1999, college: Kansas St.) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds. Four Ulm players scored in double figures. ratiopharm Ulm's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Vechta moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Weissenfels. Loser ratiopharm Ulm dropped to the seventh position with nine games lost. They share it with Bamberg.
