Important game to mention about took place in Westerstede. Fifth rankedWesterstede (12-8) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 7th ranked Neustadt TSV (10-11) 93-91 on Saturday evening. Westerstede forced 19 Neustadt TSV turnovers. Strangely Neustadt TSV outrebounded Westerstede 44-30 including a 28-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. Neustadt TSV was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. American point guard Jonil Fugett (183-1999, college: UCCS, agency: BIG) scored 37 points (!!!), 5 assists and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and swingman Alan Boger (194-1996) chipped in 17 points during the contest. At the losing side Croatian Matej Jelovcic (185-1998) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 17 rebounds and Elias Marei (200-2002) scored 19 points and 5 rebounds. Four Neustadt TSV players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Westerstede have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place. Neustadt TSV at the other side dropped to the eighth position with 11 games lost.
