Twelfth-rankedTKS 49ers (7-14) were very close to win a game against first ranked ETB Miners (18-4) in Essen on Saturday. ETB Miners managed to secure only three-point victory 65-62 . However their fans expected much easier game. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Quashawn Lane (188-1999, college: New Haven) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists. Center Ben Uzoma (210-1998) contributed with 8 points and 17 rebounds for the winners. point guard Carlo Meyer (193-2003) replied with 25 points and 6 rebounds and Jeno Pildner (198-2006) added 5 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for TKS 49ers. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. ETB Miners maintains first position with 18-4 record. TKS 49ers at the other side dropped to the thirteenth place with 14 games lost.
