There was no surprise in Bonn where 16th rankedMBC (7-16) was defeated by third ranked Telekom Baskets (16-9) 88-72 on Sunday. Bonn looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for American forward Jeff Garrett (201-1994, college: LSUS, agency: Players Group) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points and 7 rebounds. The former international Joel-Sadu Aminu (193-1997) helped adding 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Telekom Baskets players scored in double figures. Naturalized American Spencer Reaves (191-1995, college: Central Mo.) responded with 21 points (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and American swingman Khyri Thomas (190-1996, college: Creighton) scored 16 points and 4 assists. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Bonn maintains third place with 16-9 record having one point less than leader Bayern. Weissenfels lost thirteenth consecutive game. They keep the sixteenth position with 16 games lost.
