Date: March 22, 2026
The game between third ranked Hannover (12-9) and seventh ranked Halle (11-10) was the most important one in the last round on Sunday night. Hannover was defeated by Halle in a tough game in Halle 83-92. Halle outrebounded Hannover 40-27 including a 19-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Halle looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a good game for the former international forward Romy Baer (187-1987) who led her team to a victory with 8 points, 12 rebounds and 9 assists. American guard Katelyn Shumate (180-2001, college: Kent St.) contributed with 21 points for the winners. Canadian guard Lashae Dwyer (168, college: St.John's) answered with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and American forward Alyssa Brown (185, college: UNLV) added 17 points in the effort for Hannover. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Hannover's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Halle moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Marburg. Hannover at the other side keeps the third position with nine games lost. Halle is looking forward to face league's leader Keltern in Remchingen in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Hannover will play on the road against Osnabrueck and is hoping to win this game.
