There was a small surprise when thirteenth rankedHamburg Towers (13-18) defeated at home 11th ranked Seawolves (14-17) 91-86 on Wednesday. Strangely Rostock outrebounded Hamburg 50-38 including a 23-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Americans were the main players on the court. The best player for the winners was guard Devon Daniels (196-1998, college: NC State, agency: LHZ Sport Agency) who scored 22 points and 6 assists. Guard LJ Thorpe (196-1999, college: UNC Asheville) chipped in 15 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists. Four Hamburg Towers players scored in double figures. Guard TJ Crockett (187-1999, college: Lindenwood) produced 25 points and forward DShawn Schwartz (199-1999, college: GMU) added 13 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Hamburg maintains thirteenth position with 13-18 record, which they share with Weissenfels. Rostock lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth place with 17 games lost. They share the position with Oldenburg and Chemnitz.
