Iraklis beat Aiolos Astakou in the semifinal series opener. Iraklis made 19-of-21 charity shots (90.5 percent) during the game. They also forced 25 Aiolos Astakou turnovers. Guard Yannis Gagaloudis (192-78) stepped up and scored 20 points and 5 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners and Lithuanian Ronaldas Rutkauskas (203-92) chipped in 12 points and 8 rebounds. Five Iraklis players scored in double figures. At the losing side the former international point guard Fanis Koumpouras (185-83) responded with 15 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Nikos Kaklamanos (189-81) scored 18 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
