No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Kymis (12-11) won against at home 9th ranked Cretan Kings (8-15) 82-76 on Saturday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Cretan Kings won fourth quarter 21-20. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Kymis made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for naturalized French Angelo Tsagarakis (191-84) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points and 4 assists. American center Gary McGhee (209-88, college: Pittsburgh, agency: Inception Sports) helped adding 19 points and 9 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). American point guard Stefan Moody (179-93, college: Mississippi) responded with 20 points and 6 assists and the other American import forward Shaquille Goodwin (206-94, college: Memphis) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. Four Cretan Kings players scored in double figures. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Kymis. They maintain seventh place with 12-11 record. Cretan Kings lost their third game in a row. They keep the ninth position with 15 games lost. They share it with Aris and G.Larissa-Faros. Kymis are looking forward to face Kolossos HH (#8) in Rodou in the next round. Cretan Kings will play at home against Aiolos Trikallon and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
