The most exciting game of round 13 in the GBL took place in Karditsa. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 4th placedAEK Betsson (7-6) to sixth ranked Karditsas (7-6) 85-83 in the game for the third place. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of AEK Betsson. Americans were the main players on the court. Point guard Trevon Allen (188-1998, college: Idaho) stepped up and scored 27 points for the winners and guard Matt Lewis (192-1998, college: JMU) chipped in 22 points. At the losing side guard Prentiss Hubb (190-1999, college: Notre Dame) responded with 22 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists and guard Hunter Hale (192-1997, college: Winthrop) scored 20 points and 5 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Karditsas moved-up to third place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated AEK Betsson .
