Semi-Finals Game 1: Panathinaikos - Promitheas 101-69
Date: May 12, 2025
Panathinaikos shot 64.8 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three nailing 16 long-distance shots on high 55.2 percentage. Panathinaikos players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Spanish Juancho Hernangomez (206-1995) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 6 rebounds (perfect behind the arc making all five shots). The former international point guard Kostas Sloukas (190-1990) contributed with 14 points and 6 assists for the winners. American forward Jordon Varnado (198-1997, college: Troy) answered with 10 points and 5 rebounds and the former international center Antonios Karagiannidis (205-2002) added 5 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Promitheas. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
