Regular Season Round 11: Leiden - QSTA Utd 69-85

Date: November 22, 2025
We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 6th ranked Leiden (4-7) lost at home to seventh ranked QSTA Utd (4-6) 85-69. QSTA Utd made 17-of-22 charity shots (77.3 percent) during the game. QSTA Utd outrebounded Leiden 47-33 including a 36-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for Jaela Johnson who led her team to a victory scoring 25 points. Canadian forward Kiandra Browne (188-2002, college: Duquesne) helped adding 14 points and 13 rebounds. Kath Van Bennekom responded with 20 points and 9 rebounds and the former international point guard Karin Kuijt (174-1990) scored 8 points and 6 rebounds. Leiden's coach tested eleven players seeing no chance for a win. QSTA Utd moved-up to sixth place. Leiden at the other side dropped to the seventh position with seven games lost. QSTA Utd will play against BAL Weert (#9) at home in the next round. Leiden will play against Den Helder and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
