Regular Season Round 16: PEAC-Pecs - Szekszard 103-93

A Division top team -PEAC-Pecs (16-0) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat fifth ranked Szekszard (11-4) 103-93 . It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Szekszard. PEAC-Pecs players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Szekszard was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. The winners were led by American guard Alexa Held (178-1999, college: DePaul) who scored that evening 31 points (made all of her nine free throws !!!) and center Kinga Josepovits (196-2008) supported her with 10 points, 11 rebounds and 4 blocks. Five PEAC-Pecs players scored in double figures. PEAC-Pecs' coach Zeljko Djokic allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 29 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists by international Reka Dombai (179-2002) did not help to save the game for Szekszard . Portuguese point guard Carolina Rodrigues (170-1998, agency: LBM Management) added 24 points and 5 assists for lost side. PEAC-Pecs have an impressive 16-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 16-0 record. Szekszard at the other side keeps the fifth place with four games lost.
