There was no surprise when 10th rankedUNI Gyor (3-14) was crushed on the road by fourth ranked Szekszard (13-4) 108-63 on Saturday. Szekszard dominated down low during the game scoring 80 of its points in the paint compared to UNI Gyor 's 40. Szekszard forced 23 UNI Gyor turnovers and outrebounded them 45-31 including 17 on the offensive glass. Szekszard looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by UNI Gyor 's players. South Sudanese-American power forward Maria Gakdeng (190-2003, college: UNC) stepped up and scored 32 points and 9 rebounds (on 15-of-18 shooting from the field) for the winners and Aliza Karlen chipped in 16 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international Virag Zsebe-Weninger (180-1997) responded with 16 points and international Debora Dubei (184-1997) scored 11 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. UNI Gyor's coach Adel Fuzy-Antolovics already knew that her team would not have a big chance, so allowed to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Szekszard maintains fourth place with 13-4 record. UNI Gyor lost their ninth game in a row. They keep the tenth position with 14 games lost. They share it with Cegledi.
