No shocking result in a game when third rankedSopron (17-3) smashed at home 11th ranked UNI Gyor (3-17) 96-56 on Friday. Sopron dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to UNI Gyor 's 26 and made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Sopron forced 25 UNI Gyor turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by UNI Gyor 's players. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international guard Vivien Borondy (178-1995) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 4 assists and forward Zsuzsanna Sitku (195-2003) who added 17 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four Sopron players scored in double figures. Center Izabella Lep (187-2008) responded with 8 points and 9 rebounds and the former international Virag Zsebe-Weninger (180-1997) scored 10 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sopron have an impressive seven-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains third position with 17-3 record having just two points less than leader PEAC-Pecs. UNI Gyor lost twelfth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh place with 17 games lost.
