Haukar toppled Tindastoll to gain 1-0 lead in the series. Tindastoll was ahead by 4 points at the halftime before a 45-29 second half run of Haukar. They brought some defensive toughness making 9 blocks. American forward Brandon Mobley (206-91, college: Seton Hall, agency: HMS) stepped up and scored 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winners and guard Haukur Oskarsson (194-91) chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds. At the losing side swingman Helgi Viggosson (189-83) responded with 18 points and 8 rebounds and guard Petur Birgisson (185-96) scored 12 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Tindastoll's coach Rou Costa rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
