Regular Season Round 1: Njardvik - Keflavik 82-88

Another exciting game for Keflavik (1-0) which played on the court of Njardvik (0-1). Keflavik won 88-82. They outrebounded Njardvik 41-30 including 26 on the defensive glass. Keflavik players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. American forward Amin Stevens (203-90, college: Florida A&M) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 21 rebounds for the winners and the former international guard Hordur Vilhjalmsson (194-88) chipped in 16 points and 6 assists. At the losing side American forward Corbin Jackson (198, college: Florida Tech) responded with 21 points and 4 assists (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) and swingman Snjolfur Stefansson (192-98) scored 15 points and 9 rebounds. Five Keflavik and four Njardvik players scored in double figures. Keflavik will play against Thor Thorl (#11) in Thorlakshofn in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Njardvik will play on the road against Snaefell (#9) in Stykkisholmur and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
