Rather expected game when 7th rankedKeflavik B (1-3) was crushed on the road by fourth ranked Stjarnan 2 (2-1) 71-52 . It looked good early as Keflavik B took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Stjarnan 2 had a 24-9 second period charge getting the lead and Keflavik B was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 52-71. Stjarnan 2 held Keflavik B to an opponent 20.5 percent shooting from the field compared to 35.4 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Keflavik B 58-37 including a 39-28 advantage in defensive rebounds. The winners were led by forward Sigrun Brjansdottir (174-2009) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and forward Elisabet Olafsdottir (182-2007) supported her with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Four Stjarnan 2 players scored in double figures. Stjarnan 2's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 18 points and 9 rebounds by guard Asdis Jonsdottir (166-2007) did not help to save the game for Keflavik B . Forward Eva Karlsdottir (178-2007) added 8 points and 11 rebounds for lost side. Stjarnan 2 moved-up to third place, which they share with Snaefell. Keflavik B lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the sixth position with three games lost. They share it with Selfoss.
