There was no surprise when 7th rankedKeflavik B (1-4) was crushed at home by leader KR (3-0) 70-39 on Saturday. The game without a history. KR led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Keflavik B to just 6 points in third quarter. KR forced 24 Keflavik B turnovers and outrebounded them 55-32 including a 20-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Lithuanian forward Ugne Kucinskaite (182-2001) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and swingman Anna Magnusdottir (178-2006) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Hanna Halldorsdottir (173-2007) responded with 7 points and 5 rebounds and forward Eva Karlsdottir (178-2007) scored 7 points and 5 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for KR . They maintain second place with 3-0 record having 2 victories less than leader Armann. Keflavik B lost their fourth game in a row. Newly promoted team dropped to the bottom position with four games lost. They share it with IR.
