There was an upset in Hafnarfjordur where second-rankedTindastoll (10-4) was edged by twelfth ranked Haukar (4-10) 100-99 on Friday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 29-24 . But Tindastoll won second period 28-27 . However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Haukar made 22-of-25 free shots (88.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward DeSean Parsons (201-1995, college: Portland St.) who scored 24 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Belgian Seppe DEspallier (197-1999) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Four Haukar players scored in double figures. American point guard Dedrick Basile (178-1994, college: CSUB) produced 24 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists and Lithuanian center Adomas Drungilas (207-1990) added 21 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the guests. Haukar moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Hottur. Loser Tindastoll keeps the second position with four games lost.
