LeaderStjarnan delivered the twelfth victory on Thursday night. This time they crushed 11th ranked Haukar (4-11) 99-75 . The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Stjarnan dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Haukar 's 34. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Stjarnan made 9 blocks. It was a great evening for the former international point guard Aegir Steinarsson (185-1991, college: Newberry) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists. The former international guard Hilmar Henningsson (195-2000) helped adding 21 points and 7 assists. Five Stjarnan players scored in double figures. Stjarnan's coach Baldur Ragnarsson felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Dominican guard Steven Verplancken (193-2000, college: Weber St.) with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and American forward DeSean Parsons (201-1995, college: Portland St.) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Stjarnan maintains first place with 12-3 record. Loser Haukar keeps the eleventh position with 11 games lost. They share it with Hottur.
