Everything could happen in Stykkisholmur at the game between two tied teams. Both eighth rankedSnaefell and 9th ranked KFG had identical 6-12 record. This time Snaefell used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Gardabaer 114-105 on Thursday night. The hosts trailed by 13 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 9 points. Snaefell made 23-of-30 free shots (76.7 percent) during the game. They also forced 26 KFG turnovers and outrebounded them 121-100 including a 76-61 advantage in defensive rebounds. Snaefell shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 36 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Spanish forward Juan Luis Navarro (198-1991) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists. American forward Khalyl Waters (196-1998, college: Troy) accounted for 31 points and 4 steals for the winning side. Forward Viktor Ludviksson (202-2006) came up with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds and point guard Bjorn Birnisson (182-2007) added 20 points (perfect behind the arc making all six shots !!!) respectively for KFG in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Snaefell maintains eighth place with 7-12 record, which they share with KV. Newly promoted KFG dropped to the tenth position with 13 games lost.
