The game was mostly controlled by Armann. Selfoss was better in fourth quarter21-14 . But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Armann made 22-of-29 charity shots (75.9 percent) during the game. Armann outrebounded Selfoss 50-39 including 39 on the defensive glass. Armann players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. It was a quality performance for Danish guard Adama Darboe (190-1986) who led the winners with a triple-double by scoring 21 points, 15 rebounds and 10 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Point guard Frosti Valgardsson (176-2007) accounted for 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Five Armann players scored in double figures. Czech center Vojtech Novak (205-1997) came up with a triple-double by scoring 12 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists and American swingman Follie Bogan (193-2000, college: Milligan) added 17 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Selfoss in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
