Semi-Finals Game 5: Grindavik - Valur 109-82

Grindavik outrebounded Valur 43-32 including a 20-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. Grindavik players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. Hungarian-American swingman DeAndre Kane (195-1989, college: Iowa St.) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 14 rebounds and 7 assists. American point guard Jeremy Pargo (188-1986, college: Gonzaga) contributed with 25 points and 9 assists for the winners. American Keyshawn Woods (192-1996, college: Ohio St.) answered with 22 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international forward Kristofer Acox (198-1993, college: Furman) added 13 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Valur. Five Grindavik and four Valur players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
