Regular Season Round 9: Maree - DCU Saints 102-100

Maree can celebrate finally their first win this season after eight consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat DCU Saints (3-6) 102-100 on Saturday. Maree shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. Point guard Eoin Rockall (185-98) stepped up and scored 36 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and international Kenneth Hansberry chipped in 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Maree players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American center Dee Proby (208-88, college: Oklahoma City) with a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 18 rebounds and Graham Brannelly (190-96) scored 28 points. Maree (1-8) left bottom position moving up to eleventh place. Loser DCU Saints dropped to the tenth position with six games lost. Maree will meet bottom-ranked KUBS (#12) in the next round. DCU Saints will play against UCC Demons and hope to secure a win.
