Rather predictable result in Dublin where third ranked Swords Thunder (13-5) smashed 7th ranked Moycullen (9-10) 81-61. Swords Thunder dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Moycullen's 24. They outrebounded Moycullen 50-31 including a 37-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. American forward Conroy Baltimore (198, college: Lehigh) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 16 rebounds. Guard Travis Black (191, college: Clayton St.) contributed with 19 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Swords Thunder's coach Dave Baker used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. American forward Brandon McGuire (193, college: Moravian) replied with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds and Kyle Cunningham (190-97) added 13 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Moycullen. Swords Thunder have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 13-5 record having just three points less than leader UCD Marian, which they share with Killester and Templeogue. Moycullen at the other side keeps the seventh place with ten games lost. Swords Thunder's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Tralee on the road and it will be for sure the game of the week. Moycullen will play against Templeogue (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
