Very important is a home loss of third ranked Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion (2-2) against sixth ranked Ramat Hasharon (2-2) on Thursday night. Host Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion was defeated by Ramat Hasharon in a tough game in Rishon Le-Zion 81-88. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion. Ramat Hasharon made 29-of-33 charity shots (87.9 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Laurin Mincy (183, college: Maryland) who helped to win the game recording 36 points (!!!) and the other American import Emma Cannon (187-89, college: Cent.Florida, agency: LBM Management) who added 21 points and 12 rebounds (made all of her thirteen free throws !!!) during the contest. At the losing side American Ashley Shields (180-85, college: SW Tenn.St.CC) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists and Puerto Rican-American point guard Jennifer O'Neill (168-90, college: Kentucky) scored 24 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Ramat Hasharon moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Maccabi Ashdod and H.R. Le-Zion. Ramat Hasharon will play against higher ranked ASA Jerusalem (#3) at home in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion will play against Maccabi Ashdod and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
