Regular Season Round 15: Ramat Hasharon - Hap.Petah Tikva 92-75

Date: January 21, 2016
Rather predictable result when fourth ranked Ramat Hasharon (11-4) won against at home bottom-ranked Hap.Petah Tikva (2-13) 92-75 on Thursday. Ramat Hasharon shot 60.7 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 59.1 percentage. Ramat Hasharon looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Ramat Hasharon made 7 blocks. It was a good game for American swingman Anne Marie Armstrong (191-91, college: Georgia, agency: Josep and Nicolas) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Her fellow American import guard Laurin Mincy (183, college: Maryland) contributed with 21 points and 4 assists for the winners. Four Ramat Hasharon players scored in double figures. Ramat Hasharon's coach Edny Dagan used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Brittany Brink (-93) answered with 31 points (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and American forward Jillian Robbins (190-84, college: Tulsa, agency: LBM Management) added 7 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals in the effort for Hap.Petah Tikva. Ramat Hasharon moved-up to second place, which they share with Maccabi Ashdod and Bnot Hertzeliya. Hap.Petah Tikva lost their sixth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 13 games lost. They share it with Elitzur Holon. Ramat Hasharon is looking forward to face Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion (#6) on the road in the next round. Hap.Petah Tikva will play against ASA Jerusalem and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
