Eleventh-ranked Maccabi K/G (4-13) made lots of trouble for eighth ranked Hapoel Eilat (8-9) on Monday. Hapoel Eilat managed to secure only one-point victory 74-73. However their fans expected easier game. The hosts trailed by 6 points after three quarters before their 21-14 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Nigerian power forward Alade Aminu (210-87, college: Georgia Tech, agency: Three Eye Sports) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners and American Khalif Wyatt (193-91, college: Temple) chipped in 21 points and 7 assists. Naturalized Polish point guard Nimrod Tishman (197-91, agency: Avi Zilberman) responded with 19 points and 4 assists and American swingman Alando Tucker (198-84, college: Wisconsin) scored 18 points and 6 rebounds. Hapoel Eilat moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Maccabi Ashdod. Maccabi K/G lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the bottom position with 13 games lost. They share it with Hapoel Holon. Hapoel Eilat will meet higher ranked Bnei Hasharon (#6) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Maccabi K/G will play against Hapoel Tel-Aviv (#9) and hope to secure a win.
