Regular Season Round 19: Ironi Ramat Gan - Hapoel Migd.H. 96-73
Date: February 23, 2016
Not a big story in a game when 10th ranked Hapoel Migd.H. (7-12) was rolled over on the road by sixth ranked Ironi Ramat Gan (10-9) 96-73. Ironi Ramat Gan had a 35-23 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Ironi Ramat Gan brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Hapoel Migd.H. was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Oded Shaashoua (186-82, agency: Avi Zilberman) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). Arad Harari (196-94) accounted for 19 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Four Ironi Ramat Gan players scored in double figures. Nigerian forward Andy Ogide (204-87, college: Colorado St., agency: HMS) came up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and guard Itamar Mor (188-94) added 14 points and 11 rebounds respectively for Hapoel Migd.H. in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ironi Ramat Gan maintains sixth place with 10-9 record. Hapoel Migd.H. lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with 12 games lost. Ironi Ramat Gan will play against Elitzur Yavne (#13) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Hapoel Migd.H. will play against Hapoel Afula and hopes to get back on the winning track.
