There was no surprise when 13th ranked Elitzur Yavne (6-17) was crushed on the road by second ranked Ironi Kiryat Ata (17-6) 97-73. Ironi Kiryat Ata dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Elitzur Yavne's 42. They outrebounded Elitzur Yavne 49-29 including a 17-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Ironi Kiryat Ata players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Julien Mills (193-85, college: Ball St., agency: HMS) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists. Ironi Kiryat Ata maintains second place with 17-6 record behind leader Galil Gilboa, which they share with Hapoel G/A. Elitzur Yavne lost their seventh game in a row. They keep the thirteenth position with 17 games lost. Ironi Kiryat Ata's next round opponent will be Hasharon (#11) in Hod Hasharon and are hoping to win another game.
