Regular Season Round 19: Maccabi K/G - Maccabi T-A 79-103

Winner League top team - Maccabi T-A (14-4) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed twelfth ranked Maccabi K/G (3-16) in Kiryat Gat 103-79. The game was mostly controlled by Maccabi T-A. Maccabi K/G managed to win fourth quarter 30-29. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Maccabi K/G to just 7 points in first quarter. Maccabi T-A shot the lights out from three sinking 19 long-distance shots on high 59.4 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Maccabi K/G's players. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. Swingman Devin Smith (196-83, college: Virginia) fired 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. DJ Seeley (193-89, college: CS Fullerton) chipped in 23 points. Forward Brandon Bowman (206-84, college: Georgetown) produced 20 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Josh Selby (188-91, college: Kansas, agency: Octagon Europe) added 17 points and 6 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Maccabi K/G's coach Elad Hasin gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Maccabi T-A. They maintain first place with 14-4 record. Maccabi K/G lost their fifth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 16 games lost. Maccabi T-A will meet at home Bnei Hasharon (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Maccabi K/G will play against Galil Gilboa (#10) in Rosh Pina and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
