Quarter-Finals Round 2: Bnei Hertzeliyya - Maccabi T-A 63-89

Maccabi Tel-Aviv celebrated the second straight win over Bnei Herzeliyya. The game was mostly controlled by Maccabi T-A. Bnei Hasharon was better in fourth quarter 20-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Maccabi T-A made 17-of-20 charity shots (85.0 percent) during the game. Strangely Bnei Hasharon outrebounded Maccabi T-A 41-29 including a 17-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. American forward Quincy Miller-Scott (206-92, college: Baylor) notched 19 points and 8 rebounds to lead the effort and the other American import DJ Seeley (193-89, college: CS Fullerton) supported him with 17 points. Four Maccabi T-A players scored in double figures. Maccabi T-A's coach Arik Shivek felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 16 points by American guard Brandon Triche (193-91, college: Syracuse) did not help to save the game for Bnei Hasharon. Power forward Yariv Amiram (204-94) added 9 points and 12 rebounds for the hosts.
