Regular Season Round 9: Macc.Rehovot - Hap.Haifa 88-60

An interesting game for Maccabi Rehovot (8-1) which hosted in Rehovot 3rd placed Hap.Haifa (6-3). First ranked Maccabi Rehovot had an easy win 88-60. Maccabi Rehovot players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Hap.Haifa's players. American forward AlLonzo Coleman (201-89, college: Presbyterian) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 16 rebounds for the winners and Eliav Ohanon (199-94) chipped in 20 points and 7 rebounds. Five Maccabi Rehovot players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Cuban center Ismael Romero (203-91, agency: Paris Global Sports) with 17 points and 9 rebounds and American swingman LaMarcus Reed (196-88, college: Texas Arlington) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Maccabi Rehovot maintains first place with 8-1 record, which they share with Maccabi K/G. Hap.Haifa at the other side dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. Maccabi Rehovot will play against Hap.R/G Givat. (#3) in Givataim in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Hap.Haifa will play at home against Maccabi K/M and hopes to get back on the winning track.
