The game between closely ranked teams ended with fourth ranked Hapoel Eilat's (11-5) home victory over 5th ranked Rishon (8-8) 96-81 on Sunday. Hapoel Eilat had a 27-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. International power forward Idan Zalmanson (206-95) fired 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Nigerian-American power forward Suleiman Braimoh (203-89, college: Rice) chipped in 19 points. Four Hapoel Eilat players scored in double figures. American guard Cameron Long (192-88, college: George Mason, agency: Inception Sports) produced 17 points and 6 assists and his fellow American import guard Alex Hamilton (193-93, college: Louisiana Tech) added 15 points and 6 assists respectively for lost side. Rishon's coach Guy Goodes tested ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hapoel Eilat moved-up to third place, which they share with H.Jerusalem. Loser Rishon keeps the fifth position with eight games lost. They share it with Beer Sheva. Hapoel Eilat will meet Ironi Nes-Ziona (#7) in the next round. Rishon will play against Beer Sheva and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
