The game in Rishon Le-Zion was also worth to mention about. 6th ranked Hapoel Tel-Aviv (12-15) played at the court of eighth ranked Rishon (12-15). Rishon defeated Hapoel Tel-Aviv 87-76. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Hapoel Tel-Aviv. The game was mostly controlled by Rishon. Hapoel Tel-Aviv was better in fourth quarter 26-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Hapoel Tel-Aviv 42-31 including 30 on the defensive glass. Rishon shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 57.1 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Hapoel Tel-Aviv was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American power forward Darryl Monroe (201-86, college: GMU) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 14 rebounds and 9 assists. His fellow American import guard Cameron Long (192-88, college: GMU, agency: Inception Sports) helped adding 29 points. The best for the losing side was American swingman Garlon Green (201-91, college: TCU) with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds and international power forward Richard Howell (203-90, college: NC State) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. Five Hapoel Tel-Aviv players scored in double figures. Rishon moved-up to sixth place, which they share with H.Tel-Aviv and Nes-Ziona. Rishon will play against Maccabi Ashdod (#9) on the road in the next round. Hapoel Tel-Aviv will play against Ironi Nes-Ziona in Nes Ziyona and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
