Very expected game when 12th ranked Gilboa Galil (2-8) lost to third ranked Maccabi Tel-Aviv (7-2) in Gan Ner 60-77 on Monday. American players dominated the game. Power forward Josh Nebo (206-1997, college: Texas A&M, agency: BeoBasket) notched 15 points to lead the effort and Bonzie Colson Jr (198-1996, college: Notre Dame, agency: Octagon Europe) supported him with 11 points and 6 rebounds. Even a double-double of 11 points and 14 rebounds by forward Justin Gorham (201-1998, college: Houston) did not help to save the game for Gilboa Galil. Guard Rashard Odomes (198-1996, college: Oklahoma) added 13 points and 8 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Maccabi Tel-Aviv moved-up to second place, which they share with I.Ness Ziona. Gilboa Galil lost sixth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with eight games lost. Maccabi Tel-Aviv will meet Galil Elion (#7) in the next round where they are favorite. Gilboa Galil will play against Bnei Hasharon (#10) in Hod Hasharon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
