Winner League top team - Maccabi Tel-Aviv (13-3) managed to deliver another win on Sunday. This time they beat sixth ranked Hapoel Beer Sheva (8-8) in Tel Aviv 81-68. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Hapoel Beer Sheva. They outrebounded Hapoel Beer Sheva 43-30 including 32 on the defensive glass. The winners were led by the former international power forward Roman Sorkin (208-1996, college: Oregon) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds and the former international Rafi Menco (199-1994, agency: Avi Zilberman) supported him with 13 points and 5 rebounds. Maccabi Tel-Aviv's coach Oded Kattash used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 17 points and 6 assists by American guard Khalil Ahmad (191-1996, college: CS Fullerton, agency: Slash Sports) did not help to save the game for Hapoel Beer Sheva. French-Guinean Tidjan Keita (207-1996) added 14 points and 6 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for lost side. Four Hapoel Beer Sheva players scored in double figures.
