Winner League top team - Maccabi Tel-Aviv (17-3) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed twelfth ranked Gilboa Galil (4-16) in Tel Aviv 86-64. Maccabi Tel-Aviv players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. The winners were led by the former international power forward Roman Sorkin (208-1996, college: Oregon) who scored that evening 19 points and 7 rebounds and American point guard Wade Baldwin IV (193-1996, college: Vanderbilt) supported him with 8 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. Even 23 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists (was perfect 12-for-12 from the free throw line !!!) by American guard Tony Carr (196-1997, college: Penn St., agency: Octagon Europe) did not help to save the game for Gilboa Galil. His fellow American import forward Robert Franks (201-1996, college: WSU) added 18 points for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Maccabi Tel-Aviv have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 17-3 record. Gilboa Galil at the other side stay at the bottom place with 16 games lost. Maccabi Tel-Aviv will play against Hapoel Holon (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Gilboa Galil will play against E.Kiryat Ata (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
