The game between closely ranked teams ended with E.Kiryat Ata's (9-16) home loss to Hapoel Beer Sheva (12-13) 77-96 on Sunday. Hapoel Beer Sheva forced 19 E.Kiryat Ata turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for American-Nigerian guard David Efianayi (188-1995, college: Gardner-Webb) who led the winners and scored 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. American forward Ben Moore (203-1995, college: SMU) accounted for 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. American forward Amin Stevens (203-1990, college: FAMU, agency: BIG) came up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds and naturalized Portuguese forward Yotam Hanochi (205-2000) added 12 points and 4 assists respectively for E.Kiryat Ata in the defeat. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hapoel Beer Sheva will meet Gilboa Galil (#12) in the next round. E.Kiryat Ata will play against Hapoel Haifa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
