There was a minor upset when 8th rankedM.Rishon (1-2) lost on the road to eleventh ranked Hapoel Eilat (2-2) 85-70 on Wednesday. H.Eilat outrebounded M.Rishon 40-22 including 27 on the defensive glass. The winners were led by American guard Dirk Williams (195-1994, college: UAB) who scored that evening 28 points and the other American import center Brandon Huffman (208-1998, college: Jax State, agency: BIG) supported him with 18 points and 15 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Even 15 points and 7 rebounds by naturalized American forward Josh Freund (204-1997, college: Roanoke) did not help to save the game for M.Rishon . American point guard Keron DeShields (190-1992, college: Tennessee St., agency: Diamond Sports) added 11 points and 11 assists for lost side. Four M.Rishon players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. H.Eilat moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 3 other teams. M.Rishon at the other side dropped to the ninth position with two games lost. They share it with E.Shomron.
