There was a small surprise when thirteenth rankedH.Safed Galil (1-2) won against 11th ranked M.Rishon (1-3) in Rishon Le-Zion 76-70 on Thursday. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Omer El-Al (182-1994) who led the winners and scored 20 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. American guard Dachon Burke (193-1997, college: USA) accounted for 23 points and 4 steals for the winning side. American point guard Keron DeShields (190-1992, college: Tennessee St., agency: Diamond Sports) came up with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and naturalized American forward Josh Freund (204-1997, college: Roanoke) added 12 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for M.Rishon in the defeat. Four M.Rishon players scored in double figures. M.Rishon's coach Sharon Drucker let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. H.Safed Galil left bottom position moving up to eleventh place. Loser M.Rishon dropped to the twelfth position with three games lost.
