The most interesting game of round 8 was a home defeat of 8th rankedH.Eilat (3-4) to seventh ranked E.Ashkelon (4-3) 78-68 . Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Jonatan Mor (204-1995) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 5 rebounds and guard Daniel Najar (193-2001) who added 9 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. American guard Dirk Williams (195-1994, college: UAB) responded with 19 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and his fellow American import center Brandon Huffman (208-1998, college: Jax State, agency: BIG) scored 14 points and 7 rebounds. Five Hapoel Eilat players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. E.Ashkelon have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with I.Nahariya. H.Eilat at the other side keeps the eighth position with four games lost. They share it with H.Kfar Qasem.
