There was no surprise when 13th rankedH.Izrael (2-9) was defeated on the road by eleventh ranked H.Safed Galil (3-7) 81-73 on Friday. H.Safed Galil forced 21 H.Izrael turnovers. Strangely H.Izrael outrebounded H.Safed Galil 33-21 including 20 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Bahamas forward Jonathan Augustin-Fairell (201-1993, college: Murray St.) who helped to win the game recording 29 points and 5 rebounds (on 14-of-16 shooting from the field) and American guard Dachon Burke (193-1997, college: USA) who added 19 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was Gal Shterenberg (206-1999) with 15 points and 9 rebounds and American Kevin Bracy-Davis (202-1995, college: Davis & Elkins, agency: Slash Sports) scored 16 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. H.Safed Galil maintains eleventh position with 3-7 record. H.Izrael lost ninth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the twelfth place with nine games lost. They share the position with E.Shomron.
