The most exciting game of round 12 in the National League took place in Nahariya. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 6th rankedE.Ashkelon (6-5) to fourth ranked I.Nahariya (8-3) 97-94 on Sunday evening. I.Nahariya looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Marvin Smith (198-1995, college: UNCG) who scored 40 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds. American-Nigerian center Temidayo Yussuf (201-1996, college: LBSU, agency: Slash Sports) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 15 rebounds. I.Nahariya's coach Offer Rahimi used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was American Darrell Davis (196-1996, college: Dayton, agency: Slash Sports) who recorded 22 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and Tomer Cohen (193-1997, agency: BIG) added 19 points and 7 assists respectively. Four I.Nahariya and five E.Ashkelon players scored in double figures. I.Nahariya have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with M.Rehovot. E.Ashkelon at the other side keeps the sixth position with five games lost.
