Sixth-rankedE.Holon (7-10) gave a tough game to first ranked M.Ashdod (15-2) on Thursday. The visitors from Ashdod managed to secure only three-point victory 71-68 . However their fans expected much easier game. M.Ashdod looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American guard Abby Meyers (183-1999, college: Maryland) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds for the winners and international point guard Dor Saar (165-1999, college: MTSU) chipped in 19 points and 6 assists. British forward Savannah Wilkinson (183-1998, college: SMU) responded with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 15 rebounds and American guard Ashley Owusu (183-2001, college: Penn State) scored 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. M.Ashdod maintains first place with 15-2 record. E.Holon at the other side keeps the sixth position with ten games lost. They share it with Ramat Hasharon.
