There was a minor upset when 5th rankedM.Karmiel (6-7) was defeated on the road by seventh ranked E.Ramla (5-4) 83-79 on Monday. E.Ramla looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American power forward Chelsea Nelson (188-1996, college: NC State) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and international guard Eden Rotberg (170-1998, agency: First Break) chipped in 19 points. Four E.Ramla players scored in double figures. At the losing side American point guard Ariel Hearn (171-1994, college: Memphis) responded with 35 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 6 assists and Portuguese Sofia da Silva (188-1990, college: Tallahassee) scored 20 points and 7 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). E.Ramla maintains seventh place with 5-4 record. Loser M.Karmiel keeps the fifth position with seven games lost. They share it with H.Jerusalem.
